Tektronix IC 156-0198-00
replacement module. This part is
similar to the Motorola MC4035P used in the DC503 and MC4355P used in the DC502.
Failure of these parts can cause display issues. Pictures are of the two parts that are available.
Condition:
These are new DIY replacement modules. They are the last two I have. They consist of four single gate tri state latches and an inverter to get the output enable polarity correct. Pull up resistor pads are available for each output. I had 10K 0603 resistors on the ones I used in the DC502 (part on the left in the picture)  but if only one of these is being used they should be 2.49K and they should only be installed if the part is placed in a position that has pins 9 and 13 connected to an output pin and then 2.49K installed only on that pin. The original part had 5K pullup resistors connected to pins 9 and 13. When using these parts it is best that they are installed in a position that does not have pins 9 or 13 connected, then no pull up resistors are needed. If I do another run, I will correct the pullup issue. These two parts were tested in a DC502.
